Terrains of Becoming

Using soil, clay, textile, and woven structures derived from materials connected to Cyprus, Hirodontis examines land as matter rather than image. The works explore how landscapes are shaped through processes of marking, division, accumulation, erosion, and transformation. Through stitching, weaving, layering, firing, and fragmentation, materials become active carriers of geological, cultural, and spatial histories. Moving between textile, sculpture, and installation, the exhibition brings together works that consider territory, language, and place as continually constructed and reconfigured, revealing landscape as a site of material presence, instability, and becoming.
