On Anything But You (2011)

The performance takes as its starting point the work Anything But You (2011) by Panayiotis Michael and approaches it through the reactivation methodology of Sic. Contemporary Culture, developed by Michael and Evagoras Vanezis. The action is devised by Dimitris Chimonas, together with a team of collaborators, exploring processes of representation and the way objects retain their power as spaces of negotiation, communication, and coexistence. Through the carrying, procession, and raising of the original fabric, the performance redefines movements and gestures drawn from official ceremonies, constituting a new ritual of meaning-making.
